Powell Hosts is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. Paid themes and plugins (for example WooCommerce extensions or Divi) stay licensed in your name, and you renew them directly with their makers. Moving email is optional and quoted separately.
What website care includes
- UK hosting with a security certificate (the padlock), if your site is with us
- Daily backups, plus a snapshot before every update
- WordPress, theme and plugin updates, tested on a private copy first
- Security and uptime monitoring
- For shops and membership sites: a weekly check that payments, renewals and bookings are running
- Up to 30 minutes of changes every month, such as prices, opening hours, timetables or photos
- Help by phone, text or email, usually the same day and always within one working day

Questions
Do I need to rebuild my website?
Usually not. Most problems come from hosting, out-of-date plugins or settings, and can be fixed without your customers or members noticing.
Will my members or customers have to sign up again?
No. When we move a site, everything comes with it: accounts, orders, subscriptions and bookings. We check payments and bookings straight after the move.
Can I leave?
Yes, any time. There’s no minimum term, and your website, domain and licences stay yours.
