What every Powell Hosts website gets
- UK hosting with the padlock. Your website and business mailboxes sit in UK data centres. Every site has a free security certificate, so visitors always reach it on a secure https address.
- Backups every day. Your site is copied automatically each day, and a copy is stored in a second data centre. We take an extra backup just before we publish any change, so a mistake can be rolled back quickly.
- Updates, tested first. On the sites we look after, WordPress, theme and plugin updates are tried on a private copy before they reach your live site.
- Security and uptime monitoring. Our hosting partner scans for malware automatically, and we act on what it finds (see security alerts).
- A real person to talk to. Phone, text or email us. We aim to answer the same day, and you’ll always hear back within one working day.
What depends on your plan
How many pages and business email addresses you get, and whether changes are included each month, depends on whether you’re on Starter or Plus. The pricing page sets it all out.
What hosting doesn’t include
- Ongoing SEO. Your website is built properly for Google from the start, but regular SEO work is a separate service. See SEO help for local businesses for what it involves.
- Big changes or new features. We quote these first and only start once you agree.
